It was then proclaimed in the Holy Odu Ifa Osetura Meji:

You must involve Osun in them (women)

Then life will become smooth

Olodumare said that if someone is pounding yamsWithout the knowledge of Osun

His/her pounded yams will not be smooth

If someone is preparing Okra. Without involving Osun in it. His/her food will not come out fine

Osun must be involved in whatever is being done.

The male Orishas declared that they will involve Osun.  In all their creations and deliberations.  We will involve Osun in whatever we do.  We will involve Osun in all our deliberations. Our great Mother, who must be presented at every important deliberation

OSE-TURA is the Holy ODU in IFA that speaks about OSUN being sent to maintain the world order when it began to suffer from chaos. The reason for the chaos and the imbalance of nature started when the world did not invite Osun to help with the work. They only sent her the animals that they had sacrificed to cook after offering them.  After OSUN prepared the food, they prevented her from eating any of the food. OSUN became very, very angry. And began to use the powers of the IYA-MI-AJE, and the ANCESTRAL MOTHERS to cause a terrible destruction everywhere on earth. The awesome powers of the AJE Mothers made everything being created and done on earth come out useless. Humans had never been dismissed by the Supreme Being, Olodumare before and all their efforts and petitions and ceremonies were becoming fruitless. 

One morning they came together to consult with Orunmila who brought out his instruments of Divination and consulted Ifa. The Odu that appeared on the board for the first time was called by name "OSETURA" and it was revealed through Ifa that the Odu Osetura said that the damage that had been done to the work of those on earth, was because they had failed to invite the person who constituted the seven tenth among them. For this everything was being destroyed. When ORUNMILA presented his grievances to the Almighty, OLODUMARE told him to tell those on earth to apologize to her, OSUN and to invite her to participate in all the sacrifices that they offered. Everything became calm again and began to transform from a state of death, decay and destruction to a rebirth of life after those on earth had agreed to let OSUN and her son ESU among them to see all their secrets and attend all their meetings.

When OSETURA returned to the house of OBA AJALIAIYE, all the ODU- IFA had gathered there. They said, “You must be very fast now, it is your day to take the offering to ORUN, perhaps the door shall be opened by you.”  OSETURA said that he had consumed food today and was told not to eat before taking the offer to ORUN.  The following day Orunmila met OSETURA. He asked OSETURA what must he do? OSETURA responded “Why are you asking me now?  You never thought to ask me for advice before you left.  Orunmila asked OSETURA if he had eaten.  OSETURA told him that the ANCIENT ONE had told him the previous evening that he must eat absolutely nothing.  Then OSETURA and Orunmila continued along the road together.
