The Yoruba concept of God as explained by Prof. Sophie Oluwole

Late Prof. Sophie Oluwole

"But Odu Ogunda provided us with the story of Olodumare and the full meaning it gave is "Olodu-ikoko-tin-tan-osumare" meaning "owner of the inexhaustible pot of mystical knowledge that shines the rainbow". And if one read what Rev 4:3 states in the Bible that "he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald".... Here also you see use of the word rainbow in describing the entity that sat on throne.

The Bible itself is a translation of the Bantu scrolls that Europeans stole and developed Christianity and Judaism from it. Arab also invented Islam from it. Meanwhile Abram never stepped out of Africa.

The old testament is the history of the Black people, so if cautiously interpreted, it is a good source of African history. Except that we have all been misled. Europeans only went and put fake locations in middle-east. But if you search your map, many of the original biblical locations can still be found in Africa. Examples Tira (in Burkina Faso), Sarra Desert (old maps, Sarah wife of Abram), Haran (Borno area), Golgotha (Congo), and all following in South Africa, Bethlehem, Kanaan, Jordan River, Mamre, Hebron, Gomora, and others.

What they did was just to modify the names. But they still keep track of the original locations. For example there is a place called Noaka (Burkina Faso, probably connected to Noah) in West Africa, and also "Ur of the Chaldea" where they claimed Abram was born, which they placed in Iraq, has original location in Algeria and it can be found today as 'Cite El de Khaldia".

They still monitor weather of all the original locations in Africa. Anyway, my point is that we can sometime use part of the bible old testament as source of info and that's why I made reference to the bible verse with respect to the word "Olodumare".
